Southview Volleyball is a member of the Northern Lakes League. Our season starts at the beginning of the school year and runs through mid-October. Check our team schedule and come and catch the spirit!

2010 Volleyball Season!

The excitement is building!  Catch the Cougars in action at the Maumee Bay Spiketacular July 22-24. The Cougars will be playing at Springfield High School on Thursday between 9:45am and 1:00pm, and again between 4:45pm and 8:00pm.

Friday morning you can catch some early morning action at Central Catholic High School between 7:00am and 11:00am. Final pool play will be at Genoa High School on Friday between 1:30pm and 5:00pm.

2010 Southview Volleyball tryouts
Tryouts will be August 9th, from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Southview, and August 10th from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Southview.

The Spiker Squad is comprised of students from SVHS dedicated to raising the energy level at Southview volleyball games! The Spiker Squad is a spirit organization dedicated to providing positive support to the volleyball team by increasing student participation at each game.

The squad is open to any SVHS student who wishes to participate with being a core group for the promotion of spirit at school and during the volleyball games. For more information, click here. 

Our History - Do you have some information? Our team records only go back to 1999. Do you have volleyball team information prior to that - perhaps old yearbooks with team pics, photos, rosters, schedules, scores, records, etc. Please contact the webmaster if you can help.

Where are they now? We love to hear from our players after they graduate. If you are an alumni, please complete this form so we can add your information to our website.

• Jill Spino played her senior year in 2007, jersey #2, Libero. She is attending Thiel College in Greenville, PA, where she is studying Biology. She is also a proud member of the Thiel Tomcat Volleyball Team, jersey #4 and playing Libero. Isn't it convenient that they also use the same pawprint!?!
• Vicki Schunemann played her senior year in 2004, jersey #4, outside hitter, will be graduating from The Ohio State University in Spring 2009 with degrees in Molecular Genetics and French and a minor in Neuroscience. Then, she will be heading to medical school in the fall of 2009. Vicki says...."Go Bucks! Good luck girls, I love you all! Miss you, Coaches and All!!!! Go Cougars!"
• Jordan Siefer played her senior year in 2005, jersey #4, position DS. Jordan will be a junior in fall 2008 at Alfred University School of Art & Design in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. She is going for a BFA with a marketing minor. She has also been the starting second baseman for the AU softball team the last 2 years. Most of her teammates also played volleyball in high school so they are thinking about challenging the Alfred team.
• Michelle (Hardman) Bradley graduated in 1995, jersey #13, position DS. Michelle has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay area for the past 9 years. She is an attorney with CNA Insurance Company. When she is not working, she likes to relax with her wonderful husband, Michael, and their French Bulldog, Wilson.
