Senior Night

				Senior Night October 9, 2008


				Shelby Schuster (#8) is the daughter of John and Jackie Schuster. She has two sisters Courtney and Amanda, a brother, Bill, a sister-in-law Erin, a brother-in-law Jeff, and a nephew Chase. Shelby has played on the Varsity team for two years and the JV team for two years, playing mostly setter and outside hitter. She has also played on the Southview Varsity softball team for three years. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Interact at Southview. Outside of Southview, Shelby has also played travel volleyball for five years and travel softball for seven. Although undecided as to a particular college, Shelby plans to study either nursing or psychology.

				Olivia Slates (#5) is the daughter of Ray and Louise Slates. She has a brother, Brandon (21) and two sisters, Heather (20) and Miranda (13). Olivia began playing volleyball in the 5th grade. She was the most consistent server during 7th and 8th grade at Timberstone. She has played volleyball all four years at Southview as a defensive specialist. Olivia also played club volleyball for Glass City for three years. In addition, she played one year of softball at Southview. Olivia has been involved with Interact and was in the Spanish Club. Outside of school, she is involved with Young Life and enjoys horseback riding. Olivia plans to attend college next year, but is undecided where or in what field.

				Kellie Adams (#12) is the daughter of Jim and Laurie Adams. Kellie has one brother Mitch, a freshman at Southview. She has played volleyball all four years at Southview focusing her talent as a middle hitter combined with being a solid blocker. Her other activities at Southview include National Honor Society, Interact (4 years), Dance for a Chance (3 years), and Yearbook (2 years). Kellie is the co-editor of Senior Ads this year. She has played club volleyball for six years at Premier Volleyball Club. Kellie plans to study physical therapy and is considering Penn State, Pitt, Marquette, and Michigan.

				Amy Hickman (#6) is the daughter of Gregg and Beth Hickman. She is a third year Varsity player and has been the key setter all three years. In 2007, Amy received NLL Honorable Mention. She has played club volleyball for Glass City since 4th grade. Off the court, Amy has been active in Interact and is a member of the National Honor Society at Southview. Amy has been offered an opportunity to play volleyball at Urbana University, a DII school in Urbana, Ohio.

				Ashley Mierzwiak (#4) is the daughter of Jackie Lanham and David Mierzwiak. She has two brothers, Chris and Andrew, who are Southview grads, and sister Andria, who plays JV volleyball for the Cougars. Ashley has played on the Varsity team all four years primarily as an outside hitter, but also a key back row player. In addition, she has played club volleyball for Glass City for four years. Ashley is a member of Interact, French Club, and the National Honor Society at Southview. Ashley is currently undecided as to choice of college and/or major at this time.

				Amanda Schuster (#7) is the daughter of John and Jackie Schuster. She has two sisters Courtney and Shelby, a brother, Bill, a sister-in-law Erin, a brother-in-law Jeff, and a nephew Chase. Amanda has played Varsity for two years and JV for two years, mostly as a middle hitter while also being a powerful blocker. She has also played on the Southview Varsity softball team for three years. She is involved with Interact at Southview, and enjoys teaching Sunday School. Amanda has stayed busy with both sports by playing on a travel volleyball team for five years and a travel softball team for seven. Although undecided as to a particular college, Amanda plans to study either physical therapy or psychology.
