Jordan Siefer and Mandi Lisk

Mandi will receive her 2-year varsity volleyball letter this year. She has performed above and beyond as a team leader as the starting setter and she leads the team in kills.

Jordan (also known as Peanut Head) will also receive her 2-year varsity volleyball letter this year. Her specialty is covering the court as a Defensive Specialist. Jordan has always had a very consistent, dependable serve—this year only missing 1 serve out of 135 attempts.

Mandi and Jordan have played for Southview Volleyball since their Freshman year, both starting out as setters. I have been coaching both girls for 3 years and have truly enjoyed their dedication and leadership. Mandi and Jordan have been a very strong addition to the program and I will miss them very, very much!

Mandi Lisk is the daughter of Fred and Lynda Lisk of Sylvania. She has played Southview Volleyball all 4 years and this is her 2nd year on Varsity. Mandi also plays basketball and will be returning for her senior season with 2 Varsity letters under her belt. Her future plans are college and possibly continuing her athletic career. The current forerunners are the University of Chicago and Miami of Ohio and a social science or pre-law major.

Jordan Siefer is the daughter of Joe and Joy Siefer of Sylvania. She has played Southview Volleyball all 4 years and this is her 2nd year on Varsity. Jordan also plays softball and will be a returning letter winner for the Lady Cougars this spring. Her future plans are college and possibly continuing her athletic career. The current forerunners are Marietta College and Defiance College and a Graphic Design, Advertising or Industrial Design major.

If the last two paragraphs sound pretty similar there is a good reason – these are two very similar, busy young women. Both are dynamic, goal driven, fiercely competitive and “pretty darn cute!” Mandi and Jordan have played with and against each other in 4 different sports over the years – starting with teeball in kindergarten. Both played softball, basketball, and soccer in addition to volleyball. Mandi, being an alumnus of Sylvan Elementary and McCord Jr. High and Jordan, being an alumnus of Stranahan Elementary and Timberstone Jr. High, had plenty of opportunities to scope each other out as competitors prior to their years here at Southview. But they also played fastpitch softball and travel soccer on the same teams for many a season. Both gave up soccer for volleyball once they hit high school and have continued to play J.O. in the off-season. Mandi continues to play an extensive AAU basketball schedule as Jordan also continues to log major miles in the summer playing tournament Fastpitch softball.

Athletics aren’t the only thing these two do. Both are solid students. Mandi carries a 3.80 GPA and Jordan a 3.52 while they attack a rigorous college preparatory curriculum. Mandi is an Editor of the Southview yearbook, The Meridian and is dedicated to making this year’s addition as special as this Senior class. Jordan is a 4 year member of the Southview Marching Band as a majorette and has twirled competitively for over 10 years. She has been a choreographer for the band the past two seasons and did indeed “teach the band to dance.”

Wherever the future takes these two we are sure they will be successful at whatever they tackle because they have shown us for 4 years what it takes to keep coming back and being a true competitor at sport as well as life!
